OKLAHOMA CITY (CNN/Gray News) - Body camera footage from an Oklahoma police officer captures a dramatic moment during a chase when he jumped onto the hood of a stranger’s car to catch up with a fleeing suspect.

According to Oklahoma City Police, the incident began on March 6 when an officer pursued two suspects riding minibikes who allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, reported KOCO.

The body camera video shows the officer eventually chasing one suspect on foot. When the suspect started driving away again, the officer encountered a passing motorist willing to assist.

The officer jumped onto the hood of the man’s car, shouting, “Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Drive! Drive! Drive! Drive! Drive!”

For two minutes, the officer held onto the car hood while directing the driver where to go, KOCO reports.

When the suspect briefly stopped, the officer jumped off the hood and tackled him to the ground as backup arrived.

The man who gave the officer a ride on his car hood remained at the scene, according to KOCO.

“So, that’s the kind of adrenaline y’all get to deal with?” he remarked.

The suspect was arrested on multiple charges including eluding a police officer, failure to maintain liability insurance, driving without a license, failure to use a safety signal, failure to stop at a stop sign, and operating a minibike on a street, KOCO reports.
